DALLAS, MAY 13, 2020 – As part of the company’s launch, PlantTAGG® announced its first independent garden center partner, Ruibal’s Plants of Texas, one of the top 30 largest independent garden centers in the U.S. Ruibal’s is making PlantTAGG available at no charge to its customers who are looking for ways to manage their home gardens and landscaping. Ruibal’s customers can text ‘RUIBALS’ to 46376 to get started.
Owner Mark Ruibal said, “We are excited to offer our customers this unique mobile plant care technology from PlantTAGG. Many of our customers are novice gardeners who want to create beautiful spaces but may not have the time to research specific care information. With PlantTAGG, we’re able to extend our white-glove, personal experience directly to our customers’ homes – and give them the best plant selection, expert in-store recommendations, and now, localized plant care at home.”
PlantTAGG® delivers gardeners relevant and timely plant care information via a unique mobile webapp. The service, which is powered by cutting-edge artificial intelligence, is free to use and works with any mobile device. PlantTAGG® aggregates geographically relevant information from a variety of expert sources, including Texas A&M AgriLife Research, USDA’s PLANTS database, plant care research projects, horticulture experts, and 10,000 local NOAA weather stations. The result is hyper-local plant information and recommendations that remove the guesswork out of plant care – helping keep plants alive and thrive.
Andrew Levi, PlantTAGG founder and CEO, said, “Launching PlantTAGG with Ruibal’s as our first IGC partner is a tremendous opportunity. The Ruibal’s team has been great to work with, and we look forward to supporting their customers as we continue to innovate and enhance the PlantTAGG offering.”
With PlantTAGG’s AI-Driven mobile platform, there are no apps to download and no passwords to remember. Once connected to PlantTAGG, users set up their ‘My Yard’ area in a few quick steps. From there, PlantTAGG delivers monthly localized care tips and recommendations specific to the plants in the users’ yards. PlantTAGG went live in March 2020, with dedicated service in Dallas. The company plans to expand to additional markets and garden centers in Texas and the Southeast region throughout this year.
